Shelburne, Vermont wants to be revitalized in order to attract more tourists to the small town. It already has some major tourist attractions such as the Shelburne Farm, Shelburne Museum, and Teddy Bear factory, but it is not enough.

The town wants the tourists to eat, spend the night, and spend money in Shelburne. As of right now, the town has added in some trees and sidewalks along the route to allow for a more pedestrian friendly area. "4our Districts" works around the analogy of the Amusement Park, and how they navigate people through their parks to attract them to certain rides. Through some research, what was found was that they don’t only try to attract the younger generations but the older as well; mainly through landscaping, restaurants, hotels and calm rides. Their rides also progress from calm to more thrilling and congested.

From either entrance taken on route 7, you would start out in a minimalist area with plenty of green spaces, progressing into the more thrilling areas that seem to be more involved. From north to south the progression is as follows: Housing District (calm rides), Recreational District (restaurants, calm to thrill rides, landscaping), Shopping District (thrill rides, “roller coaster area,” shopping, landscaping, congestion), Gathering District (calm rides). The “Shopping District” ends with a tail-end that can be arbitrarily used for farmers markets, picnics, or whatever the inhabitants desire used.

The housing district replaces the mobile homes, which are known to be an eyesore for the town. The misplaced residents get priority for the housing district and would receive temporary housing until the project is completed. The other districts are placed in wooded areas that have no residences of business.
